Campus capture for K-12 facilities

Do your plans match your buildings?

We scan every room and roof on your campus once. You get a walkable map, a facilities assessment, a measured 3D model with CAD drawings, and a report of every place the building differs from the plans DSA approved.

The campus map

One map of the whole property that anyone on staff can open on a phone.

  • Start from the air. A current drone image of the site, with your floor plans laid over it.
  • Step inside. Drop into any room for a 360 photo and look at every wall, outlet and switch.
  • Find a room by number. Room numbers, names and areas match your plans, so staff, contractors and first responders use the same names.
  • Turn layers on and off. Roof units, photo points and variance flags each have their own layer.

Facilities assessment

A dated record of what is in every room and on every roof, and what shape it is in.

  • Room condition. Floors, walls, ceilings, lighting and casework rated room by room, each rating backed by a photo.
  • Device inventory. Outlets, data drops, switches, fire alarm devices and extinguishers counted from the photos of each wall.
  • Roof and HVAC. Close drone photos of every roof and rooftop unit, with nameplate data read into a unit list.
  • Ready for your systems. Rooms and equipment export as a spreadsheet for your work-order system and your facilities master plan.

3D model and CAD

The building as it stands today, measured by laser and delivered two ways.

  • Dollhouse view. Lift the roof off any building and look in from above. Take a measurement between any two points.
  • As-built floor plans. Wall, door and window positions drawn from the scan and delivered as CAD files your architect can open.
  • Walkthrough video. Flyovers and room-to-room walkthroughs for board meetings and bond presentations.
  • Your files. You receive the point cloud and drawings in open formats. Nothing is locked in our viewer.

The variance report

We lay the scan over your plans of record and mark every difference in red.

  • Walls that were added or removed. A partition put up by staff changes exiting and fire alarm coverage. You see where it is and how big the rooms on each side are.
  • Doors and openings that moved. Located to the plan, with the distance.
  • Rooms used for something else. A classroom that became storage, an office that became a classroom.
  • Delivered to you first. Findings go to the facilities director as a confidential draft. You decide who sees them next.

Fire alarm designers and DSA closeout both need to know what was built. This is the sheet that tells them.

1

Partition not on record · Room 103

Full-height wall divides the room into 18 ft and 12 ft spaces. The smaller space has no door to the corridor.

2

Door relocated · Room 107

Corridor door found 16 ft east of the position shown on the plans.

3

Use changed · Room 105

Plans show a classroom. Room is in use as storage, with shelving against the east wall.

How it works

One visit, on a day students are away

1

Capture

We laser-scan and photograph every room, then fly the roofs. The campus stays in use; we work around breaks and non-student days.

2

Reference

Every scan and photo is pinned to your CAD or PDF plans of record, so each finding names a room and a sheet.

3

Deliver

You get a secure link to the map, the assessment, the model and drawings, and the variance report. A yearly rescan keeps it current.

Who uses it

One capture, every department

Facilities and M&O

See a room or a rooftop unit before sending a crew. Build the deferred-maintenance list from records, not memory.

Architects and bond teams

Start design from measured as-builts. Give bidders a virtual job walk.

IT and low voltage

Count data drops and outlets per room without a site visit.

Safety and first responders

Accurate, numbered room maps, and the base layer for live occupancy.

Business office and board

Verified room counts and areas for the master plan, and video that shows the need.

Students are not in it

We capture on non-student days and blur faces and whiteboards before anything is hosted.

Access by name

No public links. Each user is authorized by the district and every view is logged.

Stated tolerance

Every drawing and report states the accuracy it was measured to.

Your data

Scans, photos and drawings are yours, in open formats, whether or not you renew.
